When was the last time a Brit made the Quarters of a WTA event?

Two brit girls go to tier 3 semis last year.

Wow, this is amazing! After so long of no Brit girls in the QF of WTA Tour events, now we've had Anne making the Kolkata SF, Katie making the Tashkent QF and now Melanie in the Birmingham QF in the last year!

Great for British tennis, it's on the up.

I know of Anne Keothavong in Kolkata...but who was the other?

EDIT: I think you meant Katie...she made the QF of a Tier IV tourney

Katie, but she only reached a Tier IV QF not a Tier III SF.
