Lack of 3 set GS finals

AO: no 3 set finals since 2005
RG: no 3 set finals since 2001
Wim: no 3 set finals since 2006 (we actually get some exciting finals there)
USO: no 3 set finals since 1995 ()

Hopefully we will see one today.

Interesting..though 3 sets doesn't mean more competitive or better quality than 2.

But the last 6 French Open finals have been rubbish. Haven't had a good one (in terms of drama) since Capriati-Clijsters. I don't see any changes today though.

3 sets dosen't equal better quality, but it does add a bit of drama and value for money to the people watching.

the fact that a final hasn't gone 3 sets at the us open in the last 11 years is kind of sad, it dosen't realy say much about womens tennis, its a stat i'd rather not see.

Kim Clijsters - Supporting the comeback!

But 3 set matches are usually more dramatic then 2 sets, unless it's 1-6 6-0 6-0 or smth.

Wimbledon is the only place where we got some really high quality & competitive matches like in 2006 and 2005 especially.
Australian Open had some dramatic matches in 2002-2005
While at RG and USO we only had finals where one player was just clearly better and the other one played like shit
