Jankovic. She has the definite consistency advantage and movement advantage.

I think with her serve and her athleticism, her power, her court mobility, I just think when she’s on, she’s the greatest player we’ve ever seen, ever. Now, whether her record is the greatest remains to be seen because she hasn’t retired yet. But I think she is really the greatest player. I have seen Martina and Steffi at their best. There are little chinks in those players’ armor, but it was a different era, where you didn’t need to be the perfect player.

of course she does... i think Jankovic has the ability to dominate the clay in the absense of Justine.....(bad form or just absense...)

Venus Ebone Starr

Serena Williams

Sharapova

Hantuchova

Jelena probably has a better chance on clay but it depends on how patient Serena is during the match. If she relaxes and executes her game I don't see Jelena winning at all.

Re: Does Jelena have a better chance against Serena on clay?

I give them same chances at clay but perhaps that at green clay in USA litle better chances have Serena and at red clay in Europe JJ. Also when they played at tier-I events (in generally) i give litle extra bonus in chances to Jelena (exception is mandatory Miami), but at slams same litle bonus goes to Serena.

But in genarally i think this season it's 50/50. Last season JJ played better at clay (or Serena played worse if you more like it) and before last season Serena is always better. IMO.

and I'm not even fan of Ana Ivanovic... just an objective observer who realize how perfect she is

AMAZING BELGRADE MIRACLE: In just three years (2008-2011) 5 different players born in same city reach world #1 in rankings and several GS titles and finals (WTA singles: Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic, ATP singles: Novak Djokovic, ATP doubles: Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor... with notable performances of Bojana Jovanovski, Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki which is also all three born in Belgrade)

If Jelena plays like she was playing last year during clay season, I'd say Jeca!
