Is Serena's Contract With Nike over??

Serena' clothes have been looking drap of the late. Other people are wearing her clothes. Has her contract come to an end and Nike is doing her a la Venus with Reebook?

There haven't been any releases of Serena specific clothes. Her contract is supposed to end in 2008 so I think her time with Nike has either already come to an end or slowly winding down.

Simple math would tell you that her 5 year contract starting in 2004 would not be over.

Really, don't even look at me...

Could have fooled me...

You don't close your eyes, even for a milli-second,
when Serena is backed into a corner and looking to bust out.

2004 - Year 1
2005 - Year 2
2006 - Year 3
2007 - Year 4
2008 - Year 5

The deal is for five years guaranteed with a two-year option. Before this year, all of Serena's clothes and shoes had her name on them. This year, they don't. It ain't looking good.

She's probably just focusing on her tennis right now.

That's not true. Venus had a two-year option on her deal, and Reebok declined to pick it up.

Who the hell cares!? It's Serena Williams. She pretty much started this tennis fashion craze, she won't be out there looking like M. Drake, Amy Frazier, or even Jelena J.

"Hatred is the coward's revenge for being intimidated" - George Bernard Shaw

"And for the best of the teen-agers who followed her, and who occasionally referred to her as over the hill, Graf had a ready answer: against top-ranked Martina Hingis, Graf wound up 7-2. Graf's stirring 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 throttling of Hingis at the French Open final this June was perhaps the most emphatic parting shot the game has ever seen. "

Hmmm...we'll see. Don't see Serena ending up in Venus's situation though.
