Where have the Henin fans gone??

6 months ago, Forehand_Volley or whatever his name was was posting an article a day, and they were just a more present force on this board, for better or worse. Can't really seem to find any lately.

Now, it's constantly Sharapova can't play on clay or ridiculous polls like "Who can slide better? Sharapova or Jackie Robinson?" or constant bickering between WS and Sharapova fans or Ivanovic fans and Ivanovic haters/detractors. It seems like things have completely changed or is it just me?

I always wanted to be somebody. If I made it, it's half because I was game enough to take a lot of punishment along the way and half because there were a lot of people who cared enough to help me.

ahahahhhh OMG

I actually wanted to write this exact thread at the beginning of the AO. At that time Henin was still the best player around but you could sense that Sharapova was going to trash her. So the fans started disappearing... (except plantman that sometimes comes back and ninny that has millions of IDs).

I admit I miss them as they are probably the smartest fans around. All you have now is:

Williams fans: bombshell!!!111@@55$$$ Serena just flushed Isha down the toilet!!11144331!!!**

Sharapova fans: OMG Maria just beat the player ranked n.267 7-5 0-6 7-6 (15) in the Micky Mouse Island clay tournament!!! Like OMG Maria is on form and will win the FO!!!!

It's really depressing

Not to mention Ivanovic fans and their ridiculous stats threads centered around Ana and the repeated post about Ana being the next coming of christ.....

Wow.. it's like a warzone here but the civil Henin fans are here which is good. It makes it A LOT easier to root for her

Re: Where have the Henin fans gone??

I think Henin is one of the best players around at the moment. If her hardcore fans only have an interest in tennis when she's playing then they're in the same boat as those fans of the Williams or Maria Sharapova who take it to the nth. Bear in mind that there are very cool fans of just about every player.

Re: Where have the Henin fans gone??

They're lurking around, waiting to re-emerge late May when Justine hoists her 5th RG trophy.

P.S> I'm still here.

Re: Where have the Henin fans gone??

If she's not playing a lot they probably don't have much to talk about. She has only played like four matches in the last 6 weeks.

Re: Where have the Henin fans gone??

its like asking where are the williams fans post US open
if shes playing her fans will be around too
its only the williams haters and bandwagoners who have disappeared
not the true justine fans i think

If you're not paying for something, then you're the product.

Re: Where have the Henin fans gone??

They'll be back for the French Open, no doubt. But I do agree with you, things have changed in GM.

This part of the year is always a bit boring. We've had the exciting start in Australia and a few other moments in February/Match, but now I just want to get to the heart of the season (French Open-Wimbledon). That's when things really heat up. Well, for me anyway.
