so many "greatest points ever" in that match. still have the third set downloaded to my computer.
as soon as i saw the title i knew which weird point you meant. they wanted to kill each other in that final set.

dementieva + sharapova + bartoli + chakvetadze

All of their matches were weird!
Great rallies from these babes though.

I wonder when Jankovic will eclipse Myskina. They have such similar games, IMO.

Re: One of the greatest points ever followed by one of the weirdest ever

OMG, I remember this match like it was yesterday...it was early on that day and I had classes at Uni. Was following the score on my mobile and thinking JJ is gonna lose 'cos Nastya had such a big lead. Then I came home and JJ was leading 5-1 in the 3rd set and then....great comeback from Nastya, amazing points...and JJ lost .

I miss Nastya too. Great player and such a character!

I remember that...
Nastya's BP conversion was 8/31 or 8/32 that day
I watched the whole match on TV and it was probably one of the most stressful afternoons of my life but what a joy after the last point...

I miss Nastya

Re: One of the greatest points ever followed by one of the weirdest ever

This was the match that made me a Myskina fan. In the third set I was just hoping she would win.

It was funny listening to Virginia Wade commentate. She was begging either of them to just come into net and finish the point
