I agree 100%. But, I hope the media doesn't hype up this comeback story too much.

I think Jen is really given too much praise (and awards) for her comeback! Not that her comeback isn't amazing but... like for example at the ESPY's this year she won over TWO people that had comeback from cancer. IMO those ppl would of deserved the award much more than Jennifer....

I disagree, what she did was amazing, but I don't think her results yet show that she deserves come back player of the year. So far I think Chanda should get it.

I like Cori, but just because she beat cancer doesn't mean I think she deserves the award.

I agree with Dawn...The idea of "come back of the year" is not about beating a horrible deseas and show mediocre results. It is about result...all about results. I admire Corina and wish her all the best. Her story is amazing, if she can show some good results then she will be a lock...

is it about:

a- making a comeback from a terribe situation, and getting back on court,

or,

b- making a comeback from injury and having good results?

surely there's an argument for both cases.

although find it hard to believe that with the media frenzy and emotive aspect of corina's comeback, that she'll not win it.

personally, think Corina totally deserves it. respect to Chanda, but people comeback from injuries, is an aspect of the game.

if either of these two win it, then I'll be happy. :-)

Corina will deserve comeback player honours when she puts up some results on the tennis court. Her story is amazing, but the award is for the best comeback, not for beating the biggest obstacle.

On a completely unrelated note, I have a question I would like somebody to answer. I had no idea you were allowed to swear like that. Not that I have a problem with it whatsoever. But I've had my posts deleted because a moderator decided they were "insulting" to certain players or whatever, and I didn't use harsh language at all. So what's the deal? I can swear a blue streak but if I slag off some moderator's favorite player, whoops there goes my post?

You took the words right out of mouth Dawn I guess it depends which "Comeback" award you're talking about. But definitely not in the Tour or ESPY categories. Unless she shows the results.

Divas: Seles, Sharapova, Muguruza
Pas de Quatre:
Swan Lake, Giselle, The Nutcracker, Coppélia

...only people who never had to face possible death can say that it is not about beating desease... IT IS! It is amazing that she's playing at all considering that just few months ago her level of energy was at 0.

give her a little bit of time and she'll produce some good results on tour (just like she did in wtt). Chanda, btw, hasn't won her first tournament either after her comeback.
