weather conditions in doha

It is almost impossible to expect decent tennis in these conditions. The power players such as venus, maria and so on are at big risk as with the wind it kills that part of the game. The match venus is palying now is very very dangerous as she is palying a counter puncher who gets every ball back, these conditions will suit her opponent dowm to the ground

Re: weather conditions in doha

exactly what I was thinking right now...
I hope at least Venus will come through because it's so clear who is the better player (just like in the Kuzy-Bammer match) and who's just getting the ball over the net and waiting for some UEs from the opponent.

Re: weather conditions in doha

The conditions are admittedly dreadful for ALL the players.

Williams, residing in windy Florda - gave a masterclass yesterday, hitting the ball hard and early in these conditions.

Re: weather conditions in doha

today, she is up agaist soemone who is getting every ball in the court and venus cannot use her power to get the job done,it is comparable to playing on a slow cly court. It requires a huge amount of patience

Re: weather conditions in doha

Venus is losing... Sharapova dropped a set... Kuznetsova is out... Chakvetadze is out... Ivanovic is out... Jankovic will have a tough match... The draw is wide open for a Li/Radwanska final

I used to list my favorite tennis players here...
...then they all retired.
I used to keep track of my rankings in fantasy games here...
...then I realized how much I suck.
I used to update this signature, once in a while...
...then I realized no one actually reads it.

Re: weather conditions in doha

Well this are conditions for smart players (not to offend anyone).
You need to be very patient and focused all the time...

Agnieszka Radwanska top 3 player
