I think it is 2004 because there are 9/10 slam winners in it. But on the other hand 2007 can proe himself also in the next couple of years!

SHAHAR PEER

SERENA WILLIAMS~ANA IVANOVIC~NICOLE VAIDISOVA

TAMIRA PASZEK~AGNES SZAVAY~ALIZE CORNET

2005. when you see one of slam winner was not on that list, you'll see that the depth must be ... good.

Venus, THE QUEEN
Serena THE WARRIOR
Comeback you two to your previous level and dominate the tour once again, and this time... for a long long time
Miss you Monica Wynne Angie Anna Chakvy Marion
Good luck also : Svetlana Li Na

But the question is not which year had the most depth but which Top-10 players roster was the most impressive

Re: Which Year-end Top-10 in the last five years was the strongest?

A tie between 2004 and 2006.

2004 have 8 GS champions, but 3 of them are first-time winners that year (Myskina, Sharapova and Kuznetsova)

2006 have 6 GS Champions, and none of them are first-time winners that year (Clijsters won USO in 2005).

But if I have to choose either one, then it's 2006. The top 8 all played in the WTA Championships, and Patty as well as Vaidisova missed just missed out by a very small margain.

Australian Open 2010 Final Result:-
Lost to Serena Williams 4-6, 6-3, 2-6 (Great job, girl! Now prepare for FO!)

Nope, it's 8. Mauresmo didn't win her 1st Slam until 2006

Re: Which Year-end Top-10 in the last five years was the strongest?

2004 has the most 'big names' - 7, but I've picked 2003 cos the 6 'big names' make up the Top 6.

Mirjana Lucic : Australian Open doubles champ and back in Top 100

Jelena Jankovic : US Open finalist 2008 and World No. 1

Jennifer Capriati : 3 Grand Slams, Olympic Gold and World No.1

Rafael Nadal : 10 Grand Slams, Olympic Gold and World No.1

2004 or 2005. They were such strong years in tennis with so many great players at their best. But one particular player managed to stay on top of all of them.
