I think Katarzyna Piter has an excellent shot at the Wimbledon junior title this year which would make it four years in a row that the Wimbledon girls title went to a girl with Polish parents.

yeah i tend to think if you're born, raised and a citizen of a country it's quite safe to say you're from that country

Re: I read Caroline Wozniacki is Polish, both her parents

So far only TOP10/TOP15 player ever with both her Polish parents is Alicia Molik... but in next 5 years i expect some dramatic changes.

and I'm not even fan of Ana Ivanovic... just an objective observer who realize how perfect she is

AMAZING BELGRADE MIRACLE: In just three years (2008-2011) 5 different players born in same city reach world #1 in rankings and several GS titles and finals (WTA singles: Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic, ATP singles: Novak Djokovic, ATP doubles: Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor... with notable performances of Bojana Jovanovski, Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki which is also all three born in Belgrade)

Re: I read Caroline Wozniacki is Polish, both her parents

Other players from other countries with Polish parents:

*Gabriela Dambrowski (Canada)
*Laura Pola (Canada)
*Izabella Glinska (Canada)
*Monique Adamczak (Australia) (born in Poland if I am not mistaken)

I watched Caroline play and her father speaks to her in English and Polish. He calls her "Karolina" or "Karolinka". But she is Danish with Polish descent.

Re: I read Caroline Wozniacki is Polish, both her parents

Random fact: Former Miss Panama and Miss Universe (after that Russian girl gave up the title) Justine Pasek had a Polish father. Her last name translates to "belt" She was commonly known by "Justyna"
