Re: World Group Play off

Emotional Nicole vs. the Israeli crowd....it will be....

seriously, it will be better this time. Everybody knows here that it was too much and I'm sure that it will be completely different from what happened against Russia.

Neither Argentina or Germany deserve to be in the World Group and sadly one of them will.

Re: World Group Play off

Germany is so lucky lately with Play-Offs
I think winners will be:
Italy
France
Germany
Czech Republic

Belgium (but Colombia has a good chance)
Austria (if Paszek/Bammer play)
Slovakia
Serbia (if Jankovic/Ivanovic play)

Rest in Peace Bally!

Really lucky... but this tie will be played in Argentina (on clay). Don't know if Dulko is playing.. if yes, I don't see Germany winning

Re: World Group Play off

I think it's time for a rethink of the Fed Cup format. 8 teams in the top division is too few. QF should be replaced by 4 groups of 3 teams playing in one venue to determine the semi-finalists, with semis & finals played as they are now. Bottom teams in each group go into play-offs to avoid relegation.

what about a 16 team knock out draw, with each round played seperately throughout the year? that is how the davis cup is done, right? possibly with byes for top 4 teams, and with all first round losers going into play-offs to avoid relegation. this would be the ideal format, in my opinion.

Go the Aussies

Sophie Ferguson ~ Casey Dellacqua ~ Samantha Stosur ~ Jessica Moore ~ Christina Wheeler ~ Monique Adamczak ~
