Jelena Dokic's Wonderful Win!

It was only a mere few days ago when Jelena Dokic retired from a match down 0-5. She was crying on tv saying how painful it was and about how she would have played out Hobart if she could. She also said her retirement from the match had nothing to do with getting into the quali draw of the Australian Open.

Now, as some of you may forget I am a big fan of Jelena Dokic. I was very happy when she recieved a Maindraw wildcard into the Auckland tournament a few years back. I love to see her play.

I would completely respect her if she had have admitted to tanking her Hobart match. She probably would have faced alittle bit of heat from the press, and could well have gotten a small punishment from the Wta as it breaks the Wta's rules.....but she wasn't honest she lied to everyone including but not limited too: the match referee, her coach, the press, her fans.

I am not a fan of Jelena Dokic anymore

Thank you for everything Mercedes, now please be nice to Socrates for me, perhaps fetch him a bird or two. We love you, always.

It's not that big of a deal imo. TA put her in a scheduling mess.

Exactly. Her retiring and n ot even trying vs Pennetta was all the fault of TA. Had they awarded her a main draw WC she would have given it her all at Hobart.

No offence, but do you think you could try to be a bit more rational? Her real fans knew that she would tank that match because of the mess Tennis Australia left her in. Her real fans have accepted that and can see that the Australian Open is more important than a small Tier III event.

Admitting that she "tanked" the match would result in a fine from WTA Officials, a media backlash and people would call her dishonest for admitting to tanking the match anyway. So as you can see, lose-lose situation, the only difference being, she did not face unnecessary consequences, and why should she put herself in that position?

Daniela Hantuchova.

If Jelena had drew any other player in the draw you wouldn't be upset at all

Notice that even in a hate thread, kittyking must put an attention-whore title. He writes the title as if he is praising Jelena, so he can bring more readers in. And then he bashes her! How pathetic

The worst part is that he thinks people care, though. Like, his newfound hate for Dokic must be made into an announcement!

LOL. Loser.

Re: Jelena Dokic's Wonderful Win!

Whatev! Indeed lame. TA knew all along that Jelena's return focused on the Australian Open, and therefore her receiving a wildcard for Hobart and then not receiving one for the AO slap in her face. Nobody admits to tanking a match. She did what she had to do.

Why can't this troll just be banned already? Really, I was suspended for a week while this loser continues to spam the board?
