Angry How do Australian fans manage to watch US Open, Wimbledon, Roland Garros?

.....................................plus about 20 other tournaments held in the Northern Hemisphere / Europe?!

Spoilt europeans. Try living in Australia! I am living in Europe at the moment, 1/2 train ride to watch major challenger events, Eurosport France covering more Tennis than any other channel I have ever seen! you have no idea how good you have got it. Yes, some night matches of the US Open and the morning matches of Roland Garros can be seen at practical hours in Australia, but we still don't have it anywhere near as good as in Europe.

It is good to hear that you also, have the experience of waking up at 1am to watch the slams, because we do it 3 times a year!

How do I manage to watch the other slams?

Basically I just watch them & usually drink a cup of coffee or tea to help me.

Re: How do Australian fans manage to watch US Open, Wimbledon, Roland Garros?

Unless i'm on holidays during wimbledon where i can just go to sleep at 5-6am and sleep for most of the day then i just don't get a lot of sleep. If you don't have pay tv though, it's only for wimbledon, last few day of the us open and the davis cup.

GO THE AUSSIES!

Re: How do Australian fans manage to watch US Open, Wimbledon, Roland Garros?

I think the US has it best. We can watch the whole Oz daytime session and still get to bed at a reasonable hour. We only have to wake up at like 7 to 8 to watch a whole day of Wimbledon and the French (and then can still go out at night if we want) and of course the US Open is perfect timing.

But...we have to suffer through really really special presidents, so...I guess it all evens out.

Unfortunately, since I don't have pay TV, I don't manage to watch the other grand slams (well, not until the quarter finals) Since tennis was determined as the most 'popular' sport in Australia (to much outrage haha), I reckon us tennis fans deserve more!
