I don't have sympathy for her either.
She's forced herself to play after her nose surgery when she said herself she shouldn't play some silly Belgrade exhibition, she knew she shouldn't play Hopman Cup half crippled, retiring in TWO singles matches, and then she plays amazing tennis in Sydney after being basically in tatters since Beijing, arguably earlier. She probably was not faking her injuries, but come on, it's hard not to be critical. People have been criticizing her schedule since January '07, a lot of us thought it was crazy she played so much in Australia, then she just kept on playing anyway.
So when she comes to Sydney and asks for a trainer during a match, I'd like to think it's more of a preventative measure than anything else. But she deserves no sympathy, just like very few players do. Jankovic's line challenging can be irritating as well, but that's REALLY subjective though. Some people think it's cute. I personally hate how often she does it, but if she really
thinks every line judge is out to get her...of course, these things are all issues on WTAW we speak of, but is this the forum for a commentator to voice their opinion? Probably not, especially from Corina. So I do know she shouldn't have said anything, before you cram this post down my throat. I merely agree with her on those things.
Calling Jankovic dumb is way unnecessary though, that's downright cruel. Aside from that, well, this just brings up the important question of how much we really want our commentators to say. You're going to get the opinions of most, unfortunately, so what do you do to stop it?
