ai this is another sign that time and power tennis has caught up with you, quit singles or the game altogether as your to good a player to be handing your name out as a win to just anybody.

Ai always sucks down under. She managed to lose to Ferguson and Martinez Granados in the last couple of years. I predict a losing streak until she gets to the SFs of Dubai or Indian Wells, just like every year.

Congrats Jarka! She was leading 5-1 in the 2nd btw.

She has won 2 of her 6 titles in Australia both at the Gold Coast (1998 & 2004) and has a final (1997) and semi final there too (1999) and has an impressive 18-7 on the Gold Coast. She was also a semifinalist at Sydney too (1998). Not to mention she has reached a QF at the Australian Open (2000).

Just because she hasnt been great the last 2 years doesnt mean she "always sucks down under"

Doesn't look like it will be a good year for Ai - probably her last year for singles.

Shame for Ai, but Gadjosova is one of the new breed of stars that should make waves this year on tour.
