Nice thread. I voted for Serena dedicating her OZ win to Yetunde. That speech really touched me the most. I could literally feel her pain and how much she misses her.

Marion thanking her father was very nice too. Especially with his reaction after.

Re: "Touching Moment of the Year"

Serena barely able to stand at Wimbledon got to me the most. Just about everything on here meant something to me aside from Justine's option(s), but that one rocked my world that day.

Other than that, I spent a good day grinning and crying when Elena won Moscow.

yeah, that was a very emotional end of the speech from serena!

but I went for kim, I really had a hard time watching that and I didn't expect it at all. it was such a great atmosphere. and that first standing ovation that took minutes: waauw

I really felt sorry for martina when she was doing that press conference. she nearly burst into tears

Re: "Touching Moment of the Year"

Anyone else notice what a highly emotional spectacle tennis can be?

- Marion's speech to her father at Wimbledon.

- the RG crowd willing on Patty in the third set tie-break v Sharapova.

- Sveta winning the Fed Cup for Russia.

As much as I liked Lindsay's moment, it has to Serena mentioning Yetunde

Ivanovic * Kvitova * Serena

Kim saying goodbye in Antwerp

"I like being a thing where people watch and the people enjoy. I think that's what tennis players are." - Kim

"There are so many trophies in the attic." - Kim

"I like the clay courts, as well, yeah. The only stupid thing is that your socks get all red" - Kim

Re: "Touching Moment of the Year"

Obviously, as a Lindsay fan, her moment being crowned a champion again with Jagger in her arms is special to me.

Serena's dedication after winning the Australian was just and her cramping at Wimbledon was just horrible to watch. One of the few times I've actually gasped watching a tennis match.

Re: "Touching Moment of the Year"

Jelena's gracious words after her loss at the US Open really touched me. As did Serena's comments after her AO win.
