Who will be the best japanese next year?

Why don't we do this yet again?

Ai Sugiyama - Her last year?
Aiko Nakamura - Hit her highest ranking #47 in 2007
Akiko Morigami - Won her first singles title in 2007
Ayumi Morita - 17-year-old upcoming youngster
Rika Fujiwara - Recovering from series of injury
Others - Ryoko Fuda, Erika Takao, Junri Namigata, Erika Sema, etc.

Who will be most successful in 2008?

Akiko to me has the game, but unfortunately rarely puts it together. I think Ai Sugiyama will hold on to the top spot until she retires

Re: Who will be the best japanese next year?

I wish its Erika but she was in amazing form half way through the year before she got injured . And now she sucks. She this week in the All Japanese Championships 26 26 to 15 year old Kurumi Nara.

I think Morita will make top 100 next year, andd I think Morigami will be the top Japanese. Aiko has no real weapons to last, but Akiko isn't the most consistent.

Hopefully we can see Fujiwara back in the top 150. She has been playing well lately and improving.

I think it will be a toss-up between Morigami and Sugiyama (unless she retires), but Morita probably won't be too far behind...

I hope Morita but I think probably Morigami. I think she's the best Japanese player.
