Exclamation Universities hosting US hardcourt tournaments

Yale University hosts Pilot Pen tournament in New Haven

Stanford University hosts Bank of the West tournament in Stanford

Why? Aren't there any other venues in major cities that can host these events or is it because they have good facilities?

I have nothing against these universities just wanted to know why is it that they get to host these tennis tournaments

I always think the Stanford event would be distracting in the early rounds when you have the two courts playing right beside each other at the same time. I know it's not unique at Stanford but unusual to see anyway.
