Not blind. Not uninformed. We are party to atrocities. But the response of the world after 9/11 is worth noting. Even our most dire enemies offered aid. We should all be so lucky.

I think Seles got the toughest draw possible. Henin in the quarters, Venus in the semifinals and then possibly Davenport in the finals. Of course, this is if each seed continues through. Insane, it doesn't get much tougher even at the Slams.

I'm confused as to how Davenport could be given the #2 seed. If I'm not mistaken, the seedings are supposed to go according to WTA rankings from the week before the tournament (in this case, following Brussels et al.). If that's the case, then Davenport should be seeded #6, and everybody else should move up a seed.

I didn't think non-Slams were allowed to jigger with the seedings.

Is anyone know, Why Jelena JANKOVIC get into The Main Draw?....I reckon she's got a WC...But Why...???, I rather than give that WC for Angelique WIDJAJA (for her great performance this year)

It'll be difficult with Alexandra or Meilen but you can do it!!!!!

Damned, I'm really upset with that #2 seed for Davenport

I think it's unfair, she will have to beat, say, Grande, Martinez and Panova to go through the final!!! (Don't expect too much from Jelena I-enter-as-much-tourneys-I-can Dokic or Kim I'm-injured-but-I-still-believe-I-will-defend-my-title Clijsters.... )

Davenport should be seeded #6, now look at #6 seed draw (Justine): (Q), Raymond, Seles and Venus...

Actually, I think both Seles and Justine were stolen!

Go Anna!!

What a tough draw for Monica! I dont' see why Davenport was given a higher seed than Seles....Lindsay's ranking is still high enough to get her a high seed in any tournament she plays.

I think Lindsay deserves the no. 2 seeding, but I think it's only doing her harm here. she could use another round of play against a low ranked player, but instead she's getting a first round bye.

It's too soon to aim for peace. Aim for better conflict management.
