Is the Crowd a bigger factor at Indoor events?

I just think about the big home crowd tournament wins like Lena winning Moscow, Kim winning Antwerp and Schnyder winning Zurich, they all happened at indoor tourneys

it seems that indoors, the crowd can make a lot more noise, give more energy to the player, and influence the course of the match more than outdoor stadiums, does anyone else agree

In Russia there wasn't hardly any crowd, so I guess no.

When she won it though she was getting a lot of support. Martina did get a lot of support from them aswell. The year she beat Davenport 6-4 in the 3rd was it? At the time Lindsay owned Martina.

GOOD LUCK IN 2016 GB TENNIS GIRLS

Putin probably let some people out of the gulag's for the final to keep up appearances.

I'm in trouble now

i think she was actually with him then but nobody new about him. she had been with the faith healer prior to that though

to be honest i think they supported her because she did well but i think it's not really the explanation as to why she has done well some years. she plays well generally indoors - she always plays well in Linz as well.

I don't know if you're watching any of the men's matches from Madrid, but it's almost hysterical how noisy and chattery and frequently obnoxious the din from the crowd is during the entire telecast. It's almost as if the matches were being played during an elementary school recess featuring the most boistrious unruly children imagineable- all echoed off the roof and walls of the bowl like so many flocks of magpies bickering.

There is nothing more beautiful than Evonne Goolagong in full flight moving across a tennis court.

sorry. i forgot my place in the pecking order here. Russia is a beautiful democracy and Mr Putin is a brilliant president (or has changed to prime minister yet so he can subvert the law to keep total power??)

while we're being uptight i should mention the word retard is quite insensitive. yes i know mentioning the word "gulag" is insensitive as well. we all know they never existed

Re: Is the Crowd a bigger factor at Indoor events?

actually i'll admit i've acted like a total prick in this thread and i apologize for the offensive comments. i have political opinions but i should keep them in their appropriate threads. i only posted this because of comments i found offensive in another threader by a poster i have issues with. but that's no excuse because it shows a lack of maturity to sink to their levels. i won't delete because i think that's cowardly. i'll just say sorry. unless Putin posts here
