(1)A lot is being made of the record Serena has vs Sharapova. It is being used as THE reason she will win again lol. Good thing we have players like Tomas Berdych (who had an even worse record vs Nadal) to remind us of the fallacy of this nonsense logic.
(2)You stans may as well sleep well tonight because tomorrow the a replay of Lucie's winning moment over and over again will haunt your dreams for weeks to come
(3)The stars have aligned perfectly for the upset of the 21st century. All the best Garbine
(4) There is no path to victory for Williams.Keys wins in straight easy sets.
Unconfirmed rumor, but she's 31 and is having a hard time making MD's now. She used 2B proud of being "one of the hundred best in the world", but DBE is now #128, averaging little more than 10 points per event she enters. (28 for 287.5) She could change her mind, but I doubt that the game is much fun for her anymore.
I really hope she changes her mind, because she's been quite unlucky with her draws lately. If she qualifies for the Ozopen next year and gets a nice place in the main draw, then she might get back to the Top 100.
Pls Manu, don't retire !!!
I don't think many significant players will retire this year. Most of them will still try to play the Olympics and after that they might call it a day... like Ai, Vivi, LenaL, Nicole Pratt, Jill and Meilen (not that they have a chance of playing in Beijing tho ).. or even Nathalie.
