Post What a field for a Tier 5!

Here are the top 8 seeds for the Volvo Womens Open in Pattaya:

1. Jelena Dokic (YUG)
2. Meghann Shaughnessy (USA)
3. Magdalena Maleeva (BUL)
4. Iroda Tulyaganova (UZB)
5. Tamarine Tanasugarn (THA)
6. Anne Kremer (LUX)
7. Nadia Petrova (RUS)
8. Denisa Chladkova (CZE)

This is a Tier 5!

It seems that Jelena has entered according to the Vecernje Novosti Website.

I expect a Dokic vs Shaughnessy Final with Dokic taking the title.

I doubt Dokic or Shaughnessy will play the week after the tour championships. Don't hold you breath for Maleeva, either.

You have to answer for Santino, Carlo.

Wow! That is quite a field! Though I do agree that Jelly belongs in the top events. Though it could be her way of warming up for the Chase

Tier 5? No, it was Tier IV (4) not 5

I suggest that Jelena should pull out because Pattaya is far away from Munich! Meghann and Maggie as well!

Wow... What is Jelena doing in a Tier IV event?? She won't be having any financial shortage after winning three titles this year!! Weird.....................

For Meghann and Maggie, maybe they both are looking for the first title at 2001!!!

Always giving my 100% support to Jennifer Capriati, my awesome J-CAP!!!

JCAPfan, Maggie and Meghann already won tournament this year! Meghann won Quebec City on few weeks ago! Maggie won Budpastic (spell? in umm... Bulgaria) in May.

Talking

Shaugnessy pulled out.

I don't expect Dokic to play cos she will probaly play Chase Champs.

Tammy could be a threat in her hometown. She has beaten Meleeva, Tulyaganova and Dokic GO TAMMY IN YOUR COUNTRY!

Let's not forget that Fed Cup is also on this week. We may not see Petrova, Chladkova, etc.
