Radwańska's REAL ranking

does anyone else think that she's playing like a top 20 player at the moment?

Re: Radwańska's REAL ranking

Her REAL ranking is what it is, which will most likely be around #32 next Monday! Doesn't matter how she's played the last few weeks, it's for the whole year. Amazing how people always seem to forget that when a player goes on a hot streak!

Re: Radwańska's REAL ranking

Well, even given her good performances/results she still got bagelled by Bartoli, completely outplayed by Sveta in the 3rd set today, blown off the court by Peer at the US Open and only beat Sharapova because the Russian hit 20 UEs in the 3rd set. Other players around her have had better "hot streaks" recently (think Maria Kirilenko), Agnieszka is still very up and down even over the last 6 weeks (first round loss to Azarenka in Luxembourg) and her ranking reflects that.

Are you a raving mental case with awesome groundstrokes? I'll probably like you...
Hantuchova : Goerges : Johansson : Rybarikova : Li

Learning to love/Liking the look of...
Zakopalova : Lucic : Krajicek : Cetkovska : Cibulkova
Gajdosova : Govortsova : Olaru : Robson : Pliskova

Re: Radwańska's REAL ranking

If she's playing like a top 20 player then she will be a top 20 player soon. Give it time. The rankings are a bit behind in general.

Sharapova / Bartoli / Azarenka / Rezaï
Cornet / Karatantcheva / Kirilenko
Safina / Dulko / Görges / Shvedova
Fedak / Czink / Harkleroad / Gallovits
Kleybanova / A.Bondarenko / Watson

Re: Radwańska's REAL ranking

I always felt she was overranked.

Wimbledon 3R, USO 4R, Stockholm title, some 100k ITF title, Miami 4R...and she's almost top 30? Seems like the top 20 is stacked and it drops dramatically after that.

Her real ranking should be about 10 or 15 spots lower, but good on her for almost cracking the top 30, she should be a firm top 30 player next year.

See the rankings always catch up providing a player maintains their form. Right now Aga is playing like a top 12 player and the ranking will catch up with that within the next six months as well providing of course that Aga continues to play like a top 12 player.

Actually i was very dissapointed for her performance against Hantuchova, i certainly did not see her in the entire fortnight to make a sane statement, but she was just in very poor form against Daniela. Nothing on her groundstrokes, nothing in her strategy, but we´ll see she must have something to have beaten Maria and Svetlana in the last two grand slams.

Agi will always be a bit more vulnerable to players like Dani who like to move their opponents around quite a bit. I think Agi is playing like a top 10 player, but we'll have to see where she gets too before she has a mini peak (Nicole did at number 10, Agnes did at around 20th).

Thank you for everything Mercedes, now please be nice to Socrates for me, perhaps fetch him a bird or two. We love you, always.

Agi = Agnes Szavay. AGA = Radwanska, who this thread is about.

Re: Radwańska's REAL ranking

Well, I wasn't blown away either. But this was a good tourny for her nevertheless.

Anyway, my only concern about her she's a short girl without big serve. This is OK, but she doesn't seem to like clay surface either. This can be a problem, because if she has to rely on hardcourt, she'll have a tough job.
