WTA vs ATP interviews

i've noticed a real difference b/n interviews of WTA players vs. ATP players, particularly regarding the topic of the player's opponents. everytime someone asks a WTA player about her opponent the answer is always something like "she's a great player", "she's a great fighter", "she's a champion", or "i'm only focused on my game, not on the game of my opponent." these comments are always very vague without giving any real discussion of the opponents strengths or weaknesses.

on this same question, ATP players will usually give a breakdown on their opponent, such as their strengths/weaknesses. agassi was recently talking about how much tape he watched of his opponents to determine how best to let his strengths expose his opponent's weaknesses.

it seems like the women are afraid of mentioning anything that might help the opponent. has anyone else noticed this?

Re: WTA vs ATP interviews

interesting thread here.

I think by nature, women are a little less trusting.
