Unpleasant Behaviour

During the matches of Jankovic's, esp when she plays the top players, she always display her trademark sarcastic smile, esp when she loses a game or a set.
most of all it is extremely unsporting when she keeps turning round to carry a conversation with the spectators and laugh. Perhaps Jankovic should consider a career in Hollywood instead. She obviously forgot that she is playing competitive tennis on the courts.
And if Jankovic thought that by doing so she will gain more praises, she is so wrong, because no one will not fall for her irritating tricks. Everyone who know all about the real sports of tennis can see through her pretences.
any new-comer should also take a page off Jankovic's books and NOT do the same because it will backfire and will harm your tennis career.

Re: Unpleasant Behaviour

Right. Tennis-Players should really punished hard, if they try to smile on court or make fun with the crowd.

It should be this punishments:
smile - 1.000 $ and warning.
a tear - 10.000 $ and lost of a game
for a joke with the audience - 25.000 $ and lost of the match.

Heck, who wants to see humans...we want to see emotionless Tennis-Robots.
The WTA should do something very quick.

Re: Unpleasant Behaviour

dear dear. guess we've been most unfortunate to be watching a handful of the tour who display unpleasant behaviour on court in the most unsporting manner possible and harming their tennis careers. how most unfortunate for every tennis fan out there who really wanted to see robots swarm the courts

Re: Unpleasant Behaviour

stupid debut post?
please excuse us for having our own reactions to Jankovic's court display
we are not promoting emotionless tennis display....Of course it is exciting to see some show of emotions on court...but they must be natural and appropriate
However Jankovic's smirks and antics come across as sarcastic and irritating to her opponents....all we get is her sense of frivolity...and maybe it's her way of geting an upper hand of her opponent...
to further mark our case, her fellow countrywomen Ana Ivanovic also smiles on court. However, hers come at the appropriate and natural time. So it is a joy instead to watch her play.
So more than the actions....it is the intention behind the actions that irritates us

Are you her opponents?

Goodbye WTA and Jelena. It was nice being your fan once.

Which opponents of Jelena's have complained about her smiling and/or talking to the crowd? How do you know what they think if you're not one of them?

Goodbye WTA and Jelena. It was nice being your fan once.

Re: Unpleasant Behaviour

I find her a breath of fresh air, really.
Her personality is somewhat like Novak's.
She gives credits when it's due
A match is like a practice session for her. She's said it. People normally have fun during practice sessions too. So I don't see any issues with her smiling
