Natalie Tausiat

Tausiat was my favorite player back in the 90s. She was good on grass with great net play. Her best result came in her 98 Wimbledon fianl showing, where she lost to Jana Novotna in three. My question is if she were still active now, how well could she fair against today's top players?
I think she could be ranked in the top 20 and possibly top 10 if not top 5.

Well... different yes but not so different in terms of the level of the player in my opinion.

Re: Natalie Tausiat

Was she your favourite player?

And you don't even know how to spell her name?

And do you think she lost her Wimbledon final in three sets?

Tauziat, not Tausiat
you shouldn't misspell the name of one of your favourites

Re: Natalie Tausiat

Tauziat did make it to the top 5 she made it as high as no.3. Tauziat was more famous for her mouth then her tennis though. Tauziat was cool in a way she said whatever the hell she thought and did not care about upsetting the WTA "executives." Tauziat slammed Jennifer Capriati back in the 1990s for being too fat and she said Davenport was ugly. Tauziat also did not like Chris Evert or Navratilova. Tauziat wrote a book a few years ago I don't know if its still in print but she had a lot of interesting things to say about the WTA. I think the name of the book was "The underside of women's tennis."

I Nathalie. Her game was phenomenal I wish she'd come back, but then again I know she would suck.

She was coaching Stéphanie Cohen-Aloro for a while, but I don't know if she still does.

Re: Natalie Tausiat

I was her fan only because of her style but was she that bitchy to call Davenport ugly? I didn't know she said that.

Re: Natalie Tausiat

Yeah apparently Tauziat is coaching Kumar, an Australian 16 yr old with plenty of promise. It would be interesting to see how that came about.

Mainly, she was astonishingly pale and had a fat ass.

She reached number 3 in the world as late as 2000.
