égalité's U.S. OPEN QUALIES match reports!
So I haven't been around the board for the past few days because I was taking a trip in NYC, which included a stop at Flushing Meadows. Here's a summary of my exciting day of tennis:
MELANIE OUDIN d. AYUMI MORITA 6-2 6-0:
Ayumi's backhand is really really good and she's definitely a better player. I don't know what the hell happened here. She was in control at some point of almost every rally, but she just couldn't finish. Not too much else to say about this match.
VANESSA HENKE d. AKGUL AMANMURADOVA 7-6 3-6 6-3:
Akgul is really tall. I was expecting it but I was still surprised. She has a good first serve but it never goes in and then all she does is slice her backhand for a while and then make an error. She really should've won this match, but she's way too passive for someone who could overpower most players in the quali draw.
ALIZE CORNET d. CHANELLE "MOONBALL BABE" SCHEEPERS 6-2 6-4:
I like Alize because she talks to herself and screams a lot. She was up 6-2 4-1, but then started sucking (and Chanelle started moonballing better), and let the score get to 4-4. She got frustrated and smacked one of Chanelle's service faults right into the back of one of the spectator's heads. It was definitely one of the more entertaining moments of the day. But in the end, Alize remembered that she's much better than Chanelle and closed out the match.
ANDREI PAVEL d. SCOTT OUDSEMA 7-6 7-6:
I know this isn't women's tennis, but Scott Oudsema is REALLY HOT. I just had to share that. I'd like to see more of him playing tennis, and by playing tennis I mean having sex. With me.
