If History Repeats Itself...

Venus will lose to Chakvetadze or win the whole thing.

After winning Toronto, Justine will win the title.

After winning San Diego, Maria will win the title.

Any others?

Let them eat cake.

If history repeats itself we're gonna have a new US Open winner... just like every year since 2003.

Ana Ivanović.

If that happened...history wouldn't repeat itself. Venus would mutilate her.

except it would because back then Hingis was expected to get to the final and win and Venus was the "shock" of the tournament. And now Venus is one of the 6 (/i think 3) expected to win the tournament and Hingis would be the shock of the tourny.....so Venus mutilating her would be sort of a repeat.....

Nooo, Martina would beat Venus, 6-0 6-4, just like in 1997!

Re: If History Repeats Itself...

I have to say, if the two of them made it to the final...I would be so proud of both of them that I would be sad to see either of them lose.

I used to dislike Hingis a lot...now I reserve my dislike to the most obnoxious of her fans. I would actually love to see Hingis make it to the final.

Venus will lose to a Serb, obviously...

I know just--just what you are--ah-ah.

I like the way that you taste, when you're all up in my face.

Re: If History Repeats Itself...

If History repeats itself, the Slam winners will all be the same as in 05. Kim will win

I'm liking the idea of Maria repeats 06 with a San Diego Title, LA Semi and US Open Title !

Maria Sharapova
Career Slam Winner

W'04, US'06, AO'08, RG'12

....Venus will lose to the eventual champion

It's 2008 and I'm shopping for a new fave. Hell no! And Venus is still playing?
