06. Raluca Olaru (ROM)
07. Alexandra Dulgheru (ROM)
08. Alexa Glatch (USA)
09. Yung-Jan Chan (TPE)
10. Mihaela Buzarnescu (ROM)

Of these players, I think the following could potentially win a GS in their respective careers:

Azarenka (possibly US0/AO)
Wozniacki
A. Radwanska

That's a hard question. I've never seen any of them play so I can't really comment. But some results speak for themselves (Radwanska, Szavay just won their first titles etc)

My Favourites: Dancevic, Hantuchova, Gasquet, Golovin, Roddick, Sharapova, Stepanek

Re: Which Top Ten Juniors from 2005/2006 Will Eventually Win a Grand Slam?

I think the ones with big chances are Radwanska, Wozniacki & Morita.
After that, Olaru, Azarenka, Szavay - they will get high, possibly close, but I don't know.

Really, what it takes to win a slam - you can't say it at this young age yet. There are so many intangibles... any of them could win a slam, just like none of them could, you know? Stuff just happens - the stars need to align.

Hantuchova/Sugiyama def. (1) Black/Huber 6-7(0) 6-3 7-6(10) saving SEVEN match points, down 2-5 in the third, and down 2-6 in the third set tiebreak in three hours

Ai Sugiyama. Jie Zheng. Zi Yan. Tamira Paszek.
Yaroslava Shvedova. Nuria&MariaJose. Yung-Jan Chan. Elena Vesnina. Flavia Pennetta.

I will agree with these three names - they just seem to want it a bit more!

Azarenka
Wozniacki
A. Radwanska

I think nobody out of them... but if I'd have to name one I'd say Azarenka.

Ana Ivanović.

Well if you go back to 2004 then Marina Erakovic
Extend 2006's to 11 then Sacha Jones

Thank you for everything Mercedes, now please be nice to Socrates for me, perhaps fetch him a bird or two. We love you, always.

That would be a great Eastern European rule at the GS, but it's too early to tell. I hope one of the Romanian girls will at least get close to that and possibly reach the top 10.
