Yeah I think Tutu has pretty much summed up what I thought.
Firstly hitting a backhand down the line consistently isn't so much a bad thing as it's a pretty difficult shot, it's just a question of not becoming predictable.
As for why, well if you have a fantastic forehand, the best way to set that shot up is to push the ball down line to your opponent's forehand, if they do get it back [and weren't expecting a crosscourt backhand] chances are they'll snap at a crosscourt forehand, leaving Ivanovic and Tati a nice big swing at a forehand.
I was practicing with Venus in Florida, and she was just killing me. I'm kind of glad she didn't make it, for my sake (laughter). You can't sleep on her because she's playing unbelievable. I got to take my chance now while she's out because when she's coming back, she's really playing like she's playing with no fear and she's practicing really hard.
