US Open Withdrawals: Who's Next?

Aside from Mauresmo, Zvonareva, and Li, who else can be expected to withdraw from the US Open? Vaidisova? Hingis?

No more top players I don't think.

Wishful thinking from a Masha Kirilenko fan maybe?

Didn't someone say she was "next to be seeded?"

I don't fault you for it, I would feel the same way. I think it likely another player will pull out. Tis the season for sudden injuries after all.

True. I would really like to see Kirilenko seeded. With her return to form, it would be terrible for her to face a really difficult early round opponent, but, then again, if she wins against a highly seeded player, she will have a pretty good draw after that.

Barring any sudden injuries, I think the withdrawals are done. Maybe Hingis.

My Favourites: Dancevic, Hantuchova, Gasquet, Golovin, Roddick, Sharapova, Stepanek
