Who Are the Future Top Players???

I am not talking about the Danielas of the wta, we all know Daniela is basically a top player who is going to rise and rise. i'm talking about the Junior girls who show the most promise! The 16 year olds and younger!

Who are the Champions of the Future?

Other than my Russians, that's perhaps three Swiss players, maybe Kaia Kanepi, and I, perhaps, can't think of anyone else.

Elke and Ashley are already around for quite a while. Not only they don't improve in WTA tournaments, they are still pretty useless in Juniors too.. And they are not 15 yo.

At least Kimmie Jr. won a grand slam dubs title and I believe number one ranked in dubs...

Viktoriya Kutusova

14 yr old
Tatiana Golovin
Ana Ivanovic

15 yr olds
Vera Douchevina

Jamea Jackson

16 yr olds
Dinara Safina
Barbora Strycova
Petra Cetkovska
Silvana Bauer

What about those who are now 17-18?

I think that Vera Zvonareva can surprise us all.. She is very steady in her development, no revolutions, no dazzling runs, but steady, steady improvement. Her game reminds me Nadya's game, except that Vera seems to have a much better mental balance. During 17 matches winning streak of Serena Williams only two players managed to take a set of her - Capriati and Zvonareva.

17 yr olds
Vera Zvonareva
Myriam Casanova
Angelique Widjaja
Svetlana Kuznetsova
Gisela Dulko
Edina Gallovits
Kaia Kanepi ( struggling with shoulder already )
Marion Bartoli
Matea Mezak (currently long term injured)

18 yr olds
Lina Krasnoroutskaya (hopefully she can get back into the swing of things after her long absence
Marie Gaine Mikaelian
Sofia Arvidsson

Some of the players are late developers than others.

A few years ago not many of the top 10 end of year rank juniors even made the Top 100, that number is now growing rapidly.
