Who are the best commentators in women's tennis: POSITIVE POSTS ONLY!!!

I have never read so many negative posts about tennis commentators than I have the past month. So I want to start a positive thread about who we feel are the best commentators out there.

ANYBODY WHO HAS ANYTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY TAKE it UP IN ANOTHER POST I DON'T CARE TO READ IT HERE!!!!

I think my favorite commentator out of the bunch is Tracy Austin. Like many of the players that are commentators now, Tracy knows her stuff.

But what I think often separates her from the others is that I feel she is very objective about what she says without being over critical.

I am not even sure if she is working over the summer on tv but I definitely look forward to watching matches with her commentating.

sabine appelmans, knows what she talking about and is funny

In the middle of the night
I go walking in my sleep
Through the desert of the truth
To the river so deep
We all end in the ocean
We all start in the streams
We're all carried along
By the river of dreams
In the middle of the night

I like Pam just because she is so doggone funny. I also like Martina N. They balance out each other rather well.

I have CDO. It's like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, except in alphabetical order like it should be.

sabine is just talking on and on. She's starting to stop it now but in the beginning she was commentating, she didn't shut up for one single minute.

A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening ear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn.

I like them all: Navratilova, Austin, Shriver, Evert, Corrillo, Fernandez, maybe I'm forgetting someone but anyways I enjoy them all.

My favorite by far is Mary Carrillo. When I lived in Europe I liked Simon Reed ( i think that is his name) on eurosport.

Att ta ut, att ta in i någonting nytt

I enjoy Chris and Tracy. Chris is more outspoken and
I like that. Tracy shows a lot of compassion for all of the
players. They both bring a lot of wisdom to their
commentary.
By the way, I am amazed at how hostile people
get about certain comments. Gee. Lighten up, guys.

I'm probably a bit biased in this respect, but I have to go for Pam Shriver.

She's funny (understatement of the milennium), has intelligent things to say, and knows her tennis. I personally think Eurosport should hire Pam and have her commentating for every match, all year round...but that's wishful thinking.

My favorite by far is Mary Carillo. I also like Tracy Austin, but since USA doesn't get the French anymore, she's not around much.

I love Virgina Wade she sounds so posh but she does need someone like navratilova to balance her out. I am shocked at how good sam smith is - she is excellent as is Jo Durie. Mary Joe and Carrilo are good as well. I haven't heard Billie commentate in a while but by god does she know her stuff.

Can't stand Pam she irritates me as does Chris.

RIP Elena Baltacha, thank you for dedicating your life to a sport we all love. You'll be missed but never forgotten.
