Singles-Venus
4 Wimbledon
2 US Open
Olympic gold medal

Singles-Serena
3 Australian Open
1 French
2 Wimbledon
2 US Open

Doubles
2 Australian Open titles
1 French Open
2 Wimbledon
1 US Open
Olympic gold medal

Mixed- Venus
1 Australian and French Open
Mixed-Serena
1 Wimbledon and US Open

Do you think:
Venus can get career grand slam in singles?
-Australian she has a shot, she may be motivated if Serena does well to do well. French has a small chance if Henin gets injured.
Venus and Serena getting cAReer grand slam in mixed each?
-Serena hasn't played. Venus has attempted to get Wimbledon 5 times and came up short, I think she could.

Yeah...as much as I dont like Justine..I mean I respect her...the girl can play some tennis...but i've never seen her as better than Venus or Serena. I've always said when they play their game..they are hands down without a question #1 and #2 (Venus and then Serena a very close #2) I probably would flip flop Sharapova and Henin at times for #3....but even Sharapova at her best (2004  ) I would give her the #3 spot with a very close #4 to Henin.

Venus is my alltime favorite player, but the two best current players are Serena and Justine Henin.

Im pretty sure Venus will have a good run at majors, if she wants it she can have Us Open and Australian *since it has a new surface that will help. IF serena stays healthy for US OPEN it will be hers.

When they are healthy, they are the best players around. When they aren't healthy, they're still pretty damn good, too, but they are of course more vulnerable. Justine has really built up her skill, though. She can't be overlooked, especially on clay. For me, it's Serena, Justine, Venus. Those are the best players in the womens game.

If Vee can win like 2 more tournies and then the US Open or finals of the US runner up to serena or whatever, then yes.

Yes but how often does Serena, and in particular, Venus play their best? Venus has done little or nothing for 2 years thens wins Wimbledon. Whereas Justine reached 5 slam finals in a row... and Sharapova has an impressive slam record aswell. Its one thing to play at a high level for 2 weeks but to do it consistently seems to be beyond Venus at the moment. Lets see if she can keep it up...
Well Venus and Serena play half as much tennis as these girls on the tour now. When Venus and Serena played a regular schedule, like Henin and Sharapova does now, they dominated the tour. Now they train around their schedule from their other projects and basically show up and show out at tournaments. I mean its a CLEAR difference and comparison when they are match fit and playing well..and when they are...no-one can beat them...Venus was a clear example of that today and Serena was at the AUS Open.

The problem is how Williams can play a regular schedule as Justine, Sharapova without getting injury?

Everyone can beat Williams when they have an off day. Player doesn't need to beat a best William, they just need to beat a William across the net.

"If they are at their best"? the problem is, how many times a player can play at their best?

Im not denying that when they are playing their best, they are extremely difficult to beat. But the last time Venus played like this was Summer 2005... from then up until this Wimbledon her best result at a slam was QF at US 2005 I believe? And a lot of quite embarressing losses in between. Sure shes spectacular when she gets it right... but it doesnt happen very often. Justine wins at least 1 slam a year and nowdays reaches nearly every slam final. I think consistency is more important. Hopefully Venus can keep it up... I cant wait for some more Juju-Vee matches
It was QF of the 06 FO I think for sure Justine and Serena are the two best on tour right now and when Venus is playing well forget her best she is the clear number 3 with Amelie behind her I love that Venus has won 4 Wimbledon titles but I just hope that she can find it somewhere to win an OZ title or make another final there and go further at the FO she really can win both of those slams it just seems like every year its one thing or another with her Justine should continue to do well at all the slams and once Serena gets her ranking up a little higher she could be in the SF of every slam easily its just a matter of who is playing better when these 3 meet honestly

4x Wimbledon champ>4x RG champ
7x GS finalist>4x GS finalist
7-1 H2H> 1-7 H2H
47 titles>34 titles

Venus is clearly better than Justine now. Consistency doesnt mean anything when the numbers speak for themselves.

4 Wimbledons > 4 Rg based on?

They are 8 grand slam championships . There is no book saying a Wimbledon title is bigger than any of the other grand slams. Period.

Venus has 35 singles titles, Henin 34.

When you use doubles to defend Venus singles carreer in comparisson to Henin is just simply ridiculous, it only shows how much trouble your fave is.

Singles carreers compared Henin is ahead in my book. 1 Title at the YEC, way more weeks at number one and 3 of 4 grand slams tops the 3 more GS runner up finishes, head to head and 1 more singles title. The rest is even with 6 grand slams each.

She didn't reach five slam finals in a row. She missed the AO.

5 straight where she played, or her streak got broken because of her no presentation at the Australian Open?

Numbers which started many years ago for Venus and Justine was still a greenhorn then doesnt mean anything.

It's unfair for Henin if you want to compare like that. Put these 2 girls on tour at the same time and consistency is key.

You dont show up for one tournament and win just like that and everyone should hail u as the best. That's rubbish.

the way it says current player, to me means the player with the best form at the moment so in that case venus yes, but serena no! the best current players, at this time are probably venus and henin... serena hasnt done anything since miami, just had a run of quarter finals so i dont think she's counted on the list.. venus will have to do more in the rest of the year to be considered the best current player... like she said she peaks at wimbledon and serena peaks at the australian open...

but in who are the best current players in terms of slams, then obviously it is serena and venus... noone on the tour has as many slams as they do...
