Glad to see Venus a Grand Slam champ again, but now she has yet another injury that was even noticable during the awards ceremony. Winning another WImbledon has got to be sweet but I am just wondering what we are gonna see from her the rest of 2007.

Congrats Vee and get well QUICKLY!!!

Well I'm very doubtful for Venus playing FED CUP.
I would say that Serena is a bit questionable there herself.

So Meilen Tu and Laura Granville might want to get ready, they might be getting their chance to play for their country.

This is the reason why I felt Zina could have been a little more cordial to the players, you never know when something might come up and change things.

that's what I was thinking too. But Venus is very dedicated to Zina and will do everything she can to get healthy and play fedcup. Her leg was def. hurting her. She was still walking with a limp during her post match interview with Bud. And she said she had a lot of pain in her leg.

I hope this is the case also. She should forget fedcup and WTT. I think this is just too much right after two weeks of a major. Poor Hank, I don't think there will be much celebration going on tonight.;)

I think both of them need rest. All players need the rest. FO is such a tough surface and the rain and conditions at Wimby took a physical toll on all the players. It's about time for some rest.

When is FedCup? In about a week or so? Nonsense. Venus, perhaps also Serena, should be telling Zina now to find replacement. Both should do like Federer and rest for 2 if not 3 weeks.

It's a week from now. Yes.

hmm, yes they love zina so much. and they love fedcup and representing their country and they know what is at stake. so i give it a 50/50 chance wether they're playing or not.

More like 20/80.
Why would Venus put herself in the same situation she had to deal with in 2005?

That doesn't make any sense.
This is not like playing the Belgians without Henin where only you have to stand there and that should be enough to win.

Venus and Serena will have to beat one top ten player likely not 100% with both of them likely wanting to rest to prepare for the US Open.

Of course Venus is injured right before I get to see her play in Fed Cup, which I am going to see next week, and then right before WTT too which I am going to see in a couple weeks

Venus is just feeling the strain of over playing, although she did say the injury was moving into her stomach.
