The Golden Slam 2008: Can it be done?

Next year we will have the Olympic Games in Beijing. Winning that and all the grand-slams will make the Golden Slam :D My question is: can someone achieve it and if yes, who do you think has a chance?

I think it can be done: either Maria Sharapova, Jelena Jankovic or Serena Williams can do it :)

no chance
as there's no one who can beat Justine on the clay.

I doubt it will happen in singles. Justine is a superpower on clay but can be beaten on grass and hard.

Maybe we'll see a Golden Slam in doubles by one of the Chinese teams or Chan / Chuang from Taiwan, which I would find way cooler. Gold for Taiwan in Beijing.

For me,this will not happen.
Serena, yeah,no doubt she's mentally strong but now she already has many injuries and I don't quite see she will win all and other young players will eventually beat her by letting her running around the court, which makes her more exposed to injuries.
Justine, possible candidate but still the mental problem will haunt her.
Venus,uhm...besides grass and hardcourts,I can't imagine her winning everything.
Ana and Nicole, still has more to prove. But who knows, maybe their breakthrough will be next few years even without Olympics.
If there's one surprise winner in one of the GS,this Golden Slam will definitely be gone.No one will be like Steffi.:)

No I think the only two players with a real shot are Serena and Justine. and they will cancel each other out in at least one slam.

I can't see Venus winning the French with JH playing and I don't see any of the younger players winning anything if the other 3 are healthy and playing well...
