Richard Williams-He Was Right, What Would You Say To Him?

For all the talk about what he says, why aren't more people acknowledging that he said from day 1 that "VENUS WOULD WIN"...People always dog him for his comments, but he got this one right.

Re: Richard Williams-He Was Right, What Would You Say To Him?

In fairness, most of the TV commentators have lnog since conceded that Richard Williams knows a lot about tennis. As for him predicting Venus would win this year, I heard about that when Mary Jo Fernandez mentioned it. So it isn't going un-noted.

Not blind. Not uninformed. We are party to atrocities. But the response of the world after 9/11 is worth noting. Even our most dire enemies offered aid. We should all be so lucky.

I think he's undignified, obnoxious, strange, and generally spot on with his tennis advice. I actually like him compared to most tennis fathers.

If I were Venus, I'd be listening VERY closely to his advice on how to deal with Marion.

Well i hope he's right, he's 6/7 of the way there SO FAR!

I think with her serve and her athleticism, her power, her court mobility, I just think when she’s on, she’s the greatest player we’ve ever seen, ever. Now, whether her record is the greatest remains to be seen because she hasn’t retired yet. But I think she is really the greatest player. I have seen Martina and Steffi at their best. There are little chinks in those players’ armor, but it was a different era, where you didn’t need to be the perfect player.

Re: Richard Williams-He Was Right, What Would You Say To Him?

he has always been spot on,he predicted Serena winning Miami even if she was a set down.I remember on of the commentators asking him during the match with Henin and he said even if Serena is down a set he still believed she will win and he was right. He must be psychic because most of his predictions are correct. He predicted Venus winning and not Serena at the beginning of this tourney.

Venus has not won yet.

To Richard: A broken clock is right twice a day. No, seriously, though. He isn't always wrong in his tennis pronouncements.

Yes he has, and he also said that Serena was going to be the best of the sisters when Venus was winning all of those matches. People thought he was crazy but once again he was proven right.

Love him or hate him, the man knows his tennis.

Before you speak to me about your religion, first show it to me in how you treat other people; before you tell me how much you love your God, show me in how much you love all His children; before you preach to me of your passion for your faith, teach me about it through your compassion for your neighbors. In the end, I'm not as interested in what you have to tell or sell as in how you choose to live and give.
