Marion's Upset: what makes sports so exciting.

I just want to say that I was totally rooting for Justine to make the final. But I have to admit, matches like this is why I watch sports in the first place: to see someone rise to the occassion. to see someone play their best at the most important moment of their career thus far. To see fearlessness in its purest form. And it's always nice to see it from a HUGE underdog!

I agree. This was exciting. And I had no rooting interest as such. Generally enjoyed the match.

I was thinking the very same thing, and I'm a HUGE Justine fan. But what fun would sports be without upsets? I LOVE SPORTS!

Oh yes this is why I watch tennis or any sport for that matter, to see a person up there level so much and give it all they have got! Complete respect to Bartoli!

And let's face it, it happens so rarely in women's tennis. We have to savor these moments because there are so few of them.

And Justine will be back; she's a champion. We don't have to feel bad; she's not dead, she just lost a tennis match! Rest up and come back strong, kid!

My thoughts exactly. I wanted Justine to win her first Wimbledon title. But as a tennis fan, I love upsets. It's what makes the sport exciting.
