Venus' 3rd Rd Interview

Some reporter asked Venus if she and Serena cut up towels in the locker room. I am not sure if he was trying to be funny, but Venus said, "Did you just ask me that?" Reporter: "Yeah, I heard you were cutting up towels in the locker room." Venus: "I am going to pretend you did not ask me that." Dagger.

What the heck was he talking about?

Re: Venus' 3rd Interview

Why on earth would they be cutting up towels? That's weird!

I have CDO. It's like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, except in alphabetical order like it should be.

Re: Venus' 3rd Interview

I don't believe they were cutting up towels. Did they mean they were cutting up WITH towels? That I can see.

Re: Venus' 3rd Rd Interview

Martina N is such a hater. I think she meant Vee and Serena were having fun with towels, maybe like play fighting.

How should you be? You should be like a rocky promontory against which the restless surf continuously pounds.
It stands fast while the churning sea is lulled to sleep at its feet. I hear you say,
"How unlucky that this should happen to me."
But not at all.
Perhaps say instead how lucky I am that I am not broken by what has happened,
and I am not afraid of what is about to happen.

Re: Venus' 3rd Rd Interview

Why would they cut towels? Is it some kind of British slang?

Re: Venus' 3rd Rd Interview

I remember it was the story that they were cutting up Wimby towels with pretend scissors, the scissors weren't real. I think they were just joking around.
