Wink Poor Venus is getting dominated

Now Venus shares the same feeling with players like Lindsay and Jennifer: getting dominated by a Williams.
After all, this was her 3rd straight-set-loss to Serena in a row, and even on 3 different surfaces, including Venus' 2 favourites. Compared to that, Lindsay and Jennifer win at least a set from time to time.

So one has to ask: Will Venus ever win against Serena again ?
Or will total Serena-domination continue ?

Venus knows what she has to do. Stop protecting Serena every single second. Serena is an adult now, and clearly is willing to beat Venus.

what Volcana said. this is so true. and you're realising more and more how Venus is the one who has remained invested in that role -- not that Serena even needs/wants it! step it up Venus! she has the talent to do it -- she just needs to snap out of that lethargy. and stop chewing the corners of her mouth!

I have to agree. She is always protecting Serena.. please, she needs to kick her ass.. I know she is feeling sad now, knowing that Serena beat her in two grand slam finals,, took away Wimbledon. DAMMMIT... Venus is not the Reigning Queen. I'm starting to have dislike for Serena.

"I told her, `You don't want to get into a hitting battle with Sharapova, because it would be uneven for Sharapova, because Sharapova only has one good side and that's her backhand,"'. "`You don't want to get into that for the simple reason you would win. So try to hit some balls to her strong side, to her backhand, and that would help you with your match for tomorrow

She wasn't protecting Serena today - you could see in her eyes she wanted to win.

Better luck next time Venus .

I wouldn't call Serena an "upstart". She did win the first GrandSlam of the family.

Now she's just steamrolling EVERYBODY. Move your skinna butt over Venus, your time is up

This is fun

Our girls are shaking that emotional cloud that prevented them from going all out. ITS ON NOW. I still love them both the same.

Serena did a great job in exposing Venus' weaknesses today and made Venus go for too much for the entire match if Venus wants to defeat Serena again, she will have to get over the emotional hurdle. Serena obviously did, judging from the fistpump in the first set
