Anastasia Myskina Is Retiring? Did I Hear Right?

I've been away a while so sorry if this has already been covered. But I when I watched the BBC coverage of the Eastbourne final I'm sure the male commentator said that because of her foot injury Anastasia will never play again andis retiring. Virginia Wade then said how awful it was.

I was watchng it in a hotel room and I may have heard wrong. I knew Anastasia's foot was in bad shape etc., but had not heard she was actually calling it quits for good. Has anyone else heard anything - maybe I've missed a lot the last couple of months!

(2) Belgians were injuried and sick
(3) Dementieva was very nervous

Actually, Nastya beat Venus in QF and after that - Capriatti(who beat Serena previously) in great way.
About Belgians and Lena - it wasn't Nastya's problem at all. She showed great smart tennis - this'll be remember. Her win was absolutely deserved.

Re: Anastasia Myskina Is Retiring? Did I Hear Right?

She may be a one slam wonder but anyone who tries to discredit Myskina's French Open win with a bunch of excuses is completely wrong. She would have beat just about everyone with the way she was playing in that tournament. She beat Venus, a hot Capriati and Dementieva among others. She earned that win. Hope she gets back on track.

Go Ai, Venus, Na, Tamarine!
