If you really wanted to know the answer to this question.
You would go look up past winners of Eastbourne and those of Wimbledon and voilà.

Novotna won both in 1998 - but yes she is the only one since Navratilova in 1990 to win both.

In 2000 all four Eastbourne semifinalists lost in 1r of Wimbledon.

Well considering the Williams sisters, Sharapova, Davenport etc. dont even regularly play this tournament, this "curse" doesnt have much a basis in truth.
