Unlucky brits have hoorible draw

They really have a bad draw. Sugiyama, Srebotnik, Jankovic.

Re: Unlucky brits have hoorible draw

Sreobtnik lost to Malek in the first round of 's-Hertogenbosch, so seems beatable. Klosel is beatable, and if Cavaday has to play Hingis in her career, it might as well be on her first match back after an injury lay-off.

The girls have just as much chances as in previous years. I was impressed by Katie O'Brien and Elena Baltacha at Eastbourne, but neither has a game for the Top 50 at present, though they should be able to make Top 100 soon I hope.

Mirjana Lucic : Australian Open doubles champ and back in Top 100

Jelena Jankovic : US Open finalist 2008 and World No. 1

Jennifer Capriati : 3 Grand Slams, Olympic Gold and World No.1

Rafael Nadal : 10 Grand Slams, Olympic Gold and World No.1

Re: Unlucky brits have hoorible draw

It's irrelevant the draws the Brits get. They're not serious contenders for men's nor women's titles regardless of the draws.

Ahhhh.Srebotnik plays a lot better after she has a bad loss. That's my opinion.Allthough she can choke major and that's what the problem is.

Re: Unlucky brits have hoorible draw

Well it has to be expected. None of the Brits have a good enough ranking to be seeded so they should be lucky that they didnt get players such as Serena, Venus, Sharapova, Henin, or even Mauresmo.

They don't deserve the wildcards in the first place. Most of them.

I think with her serve and her athleticism, her power, her court mobility, I just think when she’s on, she’s the greatest player we’ve ever seen, ever. Now, whether her record is the greatest remains to be seen because she hasn’t retired yet. But I think she is really the greatest player. I have seen Martina and Steffi at their best. There are little chinks in those players’ armor, but it was a different era, where you didn’t need to be the perfect player.

Re: Unlucky brits have hoorible draw

Well, it is a grand-slam and they are professionals. Tough draws should be expected. If they wanted an "easy" win they could have played a 10K instead. Wimbledon is a Brie-Free Zone unfortunately.
