Why is "boredom" the main feeling when pro players get their asses kicked?

Is this why Venus and Serena are kicking players butts? Seriously, if the loser is "bored" with the trouncing then wouldn't that make them kinda weird? Why "bored"? Are they in fact really "bored" with their performance or what? Personally tennis players who lose against a top player shouldn't feel so much as "boredom", but maybe determination. Maybe this is why Venus and Serena have good "HEAD"2"HEAD'S" with players they beat before?

Hmmmmm "boredom" huh? Hell if I lose a match I am alot more INTERESTED!! INTERESTED in kicking your ass the next time we play against one another. But "bored"!! wtf?

Top players need to cut it with their "boredom" act because it only takes a "BORING" person to become so damn "bored". It really doesn't reflect so highly of the person who is claiming "boredom", Imho it doesn't say too much about one's "HEAD" or mental frame of mind. Especially for a tennis player at that.

If I'm understanding what you're insinuating.
I think she said she was bored with those two playing each other...not that she was bored playing them.

And if that doesn't make sense to what you're asking, then just disregard as my crystal ball is in the shop this week.

You didn't understand what I am saying, read my title. "Why is "boredom" the main feeling when a pro player/s get their asses kicked? I am also not refering to any CERTAIN player, but to those who claim "boredom" when they just got sent on the first flight home.

I am not insuinating anything, I am plainly stating that players who get their asses kicked and claim boredom AFTER they get beaten in a match are not so focused on beating that player they lost too in the near future.

I am refering to those who are on the tour who really think tennis will be boring in the future. They are basically saying my game will be boring, because Venus and Serena will dominate. If a top player says a player they lose to is "boring", than what does that say about how they feel about their own game? Was their game more exciting?

Rebecca where were you when the board had a million Seles topics two days ago? lol

I think all of us must read thread like Choco did.

Let's take this moment in a positive way please...

It is a nice match that final on saturday, I take the sweetest memories from this kind of matches for myself and makes me feel very good.

This great moments will give women's tennis more attention than they use to have.

I posted in some of the Seles topics actually.

Perhaps if someone would have responded to me in them with insults, than I would have written more in them.

I like to do both, enjoy the tennis and make my threads that I think bring up solid points.

Dawn - girfriend, those are my sentiments as well!

Matter of fact, I didn't start hearing or seeing the words 'boring' or 'boredom' associated with tennis until Venus and Serena ascended to 1 and 2 in the world.

Oh well...

Choco - People said it about Steffi and Monica back in the day. You've been following tennis a long time have you not? I would think that you would remember the flack they got.

Rebecca - seriously, I didn't hear nary a word about 'boring' during Steffi's or Monica's reign. They both played an exiting brand of tennis.

I must confess that I did hear the word 'boring' whenever Harold Solomon and Eddie Dibbs used to moonball each other to death.

Choco - I would have been ten at that point But from what other posts have said, I was pretty sure that people were also bored with Steffi and Monica's dominance.

I still don't think that Serena and Venus, should even be mentioned in the same breathe as Steffi and Monica yet, mind you - maybe in time.

And moonballing is boring, no matter who does it
