Sharapova needs more variety in her game

I think Maria is volleying a bit better the forehand volleys. However, I think Maria needs to work on adding more variety in her game she needs better defensive skills. Ana has an excellent one handed slice backhand its a great shot to get back into a point. Maria's one handed slice is not that good. Maria also needs to work on sliding. I understand Maria is 6 foot 2 but Ana is also over six feet and she moves incredibly well for a tall player. I do believe Maria could added some loopers in their. And yet Ana was the one hitting the high moon balls to change the pace against Maria and keep herself in the point. Its a big win for Ana and she has announced herself on the world stage today blasting Maria right off the court. Maria is a champion but if she wants to improve she needs to realize it is not just about hitting the ball hard. Maria wasn't thinking out there. She did not hit any body serves, she did not serve wide enough to Ivanovic. She made some really bad errors.

Her game is to hit harder and flatter when she's in trouble. Usually not a good clay strategy, although Patty couldn't handle it.

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter....
Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there
Enjoy This Moment!!
