Elisabeth Shue - A new hope for American tennis?

Leaving Las Vegas star Elisabeth Shue is in training to become a professional tennis player. The Oscar-nominated actress admits she has always been pretty good at the sport and now she's working on a second career on the courts of America. She explains, "It's always been a dream of mine. I don't think I'll be playing at the (tennis tournament) US Open, but, by September, I'd like to be competing professionally, even at the lowest level. I've been training so hard, now I feel like more of a tennis player than an actress."

I'm assuming this is a joke since she's 43.

Her brother was a pro soccer player, so she does have some athletic genes.

But I don't think she's really serious.

Re: Elisabeth Shue - A new hope for American tennis?

I don't believe it.

It's probably a movie plot. However, if it is true, I hope she is a serve and volleyer.

If Serena, and other athletes, can try their hand at acting then she should give tennis a go.

Shue Plans Tennis Career

I love Elisabeth and hope that she does well. Also, I think that we have a new contender for Biggest rack on the tour
