I can't see Petrova ever winning a slam

She doesn't seem to have the mind or endurance for it. i think she would have to have a really patty cake draw to win one. and even then i don't see her winning one.

Today she had an off-day and Tati played unbelievable
Last year she beat Henin on clay .... she isn't that bad! I hope she'll win a GS one day!

I think she could definitely do it...it's just a matter of putting together a long enough string of consistent matches. She can beat anybody, so that alone gives her a shot.

Re: I can't see Petrova ever winning a slam

She secured enough points here and has done well enough throughout the year to warrant an off day.

Main thing is her success against top opposition this year.

I never thought she could win a slam to begin with.

Re: I can't see Petrova ever winning a slam

Petrova hired a fitness coach, which says to me she's looking at her game and herself and looking to improve. I was not a fan of hers until recently. I think she has a solid volley, intensity, and is fun to watch. I don't know if she has the mindset of a champion, but she has a good game.
