Anna Kournikova BBC Interview - 2002

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSry-7C2qrU

Don't know if you have seen this.

I came across this the other day going through my Wimbledon tapes, and it made me cringe as much as it did the first time I saw it.

It was after her first round loss to Panova at Wimby in 2002

This is my cool signature

Re: Anna Kournikova BBC Interview - 2002

My god, Kournikova was touchy and a bad loser!

Strange, considering she lost so often, you'd think she would have gotten used to it.

Flawless complexion though!

Re: Anna Kournikova BBC Interview - 2002

at this interview...

Well after a first round loss at a slam and with her being so high profile, I understand her reactions. You could see she was almost tearing up. I could only imagine if it was Maria -- gosh, that interviewer would have been dead by now. Maria wouldn't even be smiling like that.

But yeah, Anna was beautiful here. She's much more beautiful with more meat on. I know several years have passed but she just looks so much older and not as fresh nowadays.

Maria Sharapova

Re: Anna Kournikova BBC Interview - 2002

That's why Anna is so loved by her fans. The interviewer was a bad ass and Anna still was smiling. She could leave ,but she never did. There are few players with such a grace like Kournikova, even when she's loosing to Panova(no offence). That match was under Anna's control and then her game just collapsed.Pretty much that was happening thruout first half of 2002 for her, when she got back together, the injury happend in Moscow

ps.So soooryfor my poor english.

Poor Anna, why do they have to rub it in her face that she hasn't won a singles title or thats she's not up to their expectations... Poor Anna she looked like she would cry. Stupid interviewer.

Anna is so pretty!

Btw, Anna shows in the interview thats she hell a lot smarter than what people think she is. I'm proud she stood up against those stupid lame questions....

Re: Anna Kournikova BBC Interview - 2002

Anna had done thousands of interviews by then. And when you do that many, some will be provocative. Anna can handle that.

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter....
Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there
Enjoy This Moment!!
