Will Tennis Channel show WTA Miami?

During Indian Wells they didn' show any womens matches. With the draw the way it is do you think they'll show 3rd round and other early round matches?

Without them I don't think Venus/Maria will get shown anywhere in the US

If they don't show Venus/Maria then that will make them very very stupid. I don't have TTC. I wish I did. I can't believe they only showed men's matches during IW.

The Williams Sisters

It's great to be a fan of the two most talented women in tennis.

Only IDIOTS count out the Williams sisters!!!

The ATP paid The Tennis Channel to broadcast their Masters Series webcasts during Indian Wells. If the WTA Tour wants more of their product shown on TTC, they need to show TTC the money.

Re: Will Tennis Channel show WTA Miami?

whoa.. the tours have to pay ttc to air the tournaments? In that case ttc should just air the womens matches tape-delayed or something.. considering they can technically show tennis 24/7 without restrictions

Money always does the talking huh? The beauty of capitalism you gotta love it or hate it.

Hoping to see great tennis from Lindsay Davenport, Monica Seles, Mary Pierce, Amelie Mauresmo, Elena Dementieva, Jelena Jankovic and Ana Ivanovic. Venus's backhand rocks!!!!!!!!!

The whole thing doesn't sound right to me. I'm sure TTC would have plenty of ratings if they show a potential Sharapova/Venus matchup. It would be a smart business move to air it.

I think TTC will show only the women this time around and ESPN is showing the Men. There tournment guide says they are showing women and Espn is showing the men

I assume so. For Indian Wells they made sure to specify it was just ATP. For Miami they are just saying coverage starts Saturday

Three Domestic Networks to Televise 97 Total Hours of Tennis Coverage
Broadcasters Include CBS, ESPN2 and the Tennis Channel

MIAMI – Sony Ericsson Open tennis fans in the U.S. will be able to watch over 97 hours of domestic coverage, the most in tournament history, on CBS, ESPN2 and the Tennis Channel, Tournament Director Adam Barrett announced Monday.

Once again, CBS will broadcast live the Sony Ericsson Open men’s and women’s finals from the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Miami. The women’s final is scheduled for Saturday, March 31, at 12:00 p.m. eastern, and the men are scheduled to play in the championship on Sunday, April 1, at 12:00 p.m.

ESPN2’s 28 hours of late-round coverage will begin Tuesday, March 27, at 1:00 p.m. with a four-hour live broadcast of the men’s fourth-round and women’s quarterfinal matches. The coverage for the channel will conclude Friday, March 30 with the live airing of both men’s semifinal matches, beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Increasing its early round coverage from last year, the Tennis Channel will broadcast a total of 64 hours during the first week of the tournament, beginning with a 12 hour live broadcast on Saturday, March 24 at 11 a.m.
Worldwide, over 1200 hours of coverage is to be broadcast to over 200 countries.

That is terrible Legion Argentina. Luckily here we have Eurosport which is pretty dedicated to WTA tournaments. Can't you receive or subscribe to any of tennis coverage on Argentinian cable channels?

In the period from January to April 2006 Dr. Skalny sent very detailed messages to Ms Sharapova [...]: “Mildronate 1-2 X 10, repeat in 2 wks (before training or competition)”; “1 hr before competition, 2 pills of Mildronate”; “During games of special importance, you can increase your Mildronate dose to 3-4 pills (1 hr before the match). However, it is necessary to consult me on all these matters (please call)”; “30 minutes prior to a training session: Mildronat – 1 Capsule. 30-45 minutes prior to a tournament Mildronat 2 capsules”.
