Possibility of subforums in GM?

I'm sick and tired swimming through countless:

polls (who is going to win: XX vs YY)

results threads (now every single match result is made into a thread; some are already writting a thread before the match is over and as soon as it ends they click submit)

not to meantion peak of XX vs peak of YY

And not every single info about the players need to be posted in GM - that's why we have Players Forum

Äre 2007 Downhill and GS GOLD: Aksel LUND SVINDAL (NOR) WC overall champion for 2006/07 and 2008/09; winner of 2 crystal globes in GS and SC
Val d’Isère 2009 SC GOLD and Super-G BRONZE
Vancouver 2010: Super-G GOLD, downhill SILVER, GS bronze
Current crushes: Johannes STRATE Tom BATEMAN Éric BRUNEAU Greyston HOLT David MIESMER Raphaël LENGLET Tom LEEB

Results in GM are okay, i think!

But "Peak"-Threads are really annoying

Tamira's backhand, Roby's slice, Galina's dropshot

Re: Possibility of subforums in GM?

I think the results thread are fine, but I hate the who will win threads and peak threads. They are both clearly who do you like better stated differently.

NICOLE VAIDISOVA

Dokic - Hantuchova - Zakopalova - Minella - Szavay - Bammer - Safarova
Stanciute - Panova - Gubacsi - Cibulkova - Cirstea - Hofmanova - Cetkovska

Re: Possibility of subforums in GM?

There haven't been any (real) Peak vs. Peak threads for days.

And this has already been posted in the Bugs/Reporting forum.

Re: Possibility of subforums in GM?

i like the idea of a separate polls and results sub-forum in GM (ideally all the results for a tournament could goin the respective touranment forum but very few people go to these....)

Re: Possibility of subforums in GM?

I don't see a need for it. If I see something I am annoyed by then I ignore it. Simple. Results threads are fine, who will win polls are fine. The peak... vs peak... threads are controversial but can be ignored.

The Williams Sisters

It's great to be a fan of the two most talented women in tennis.

Only IDIOTS count out the Williams sisters!!!
Serena: 13 Slams, ranked: #1
Venus: 7 Slams, ranked: #2

Results are more than fine.
So what would be posted in GM? There would be nothing here

Swiss champs.

Yes I agree: keep the user-friendly GM board as it is ... no forums within forums within forums please.

Re: Possibility of subforums in GM?

What should be in GM then?

You could essentially relegate any thread here to some other part of the board

Ivanovic * Kvitova * Serena

Re: Possibility of subforums in GM?

No needs to post #95 def. # 74 6-4 6-1 in 1st round of a Tier IV. These results are annoying.

But finals, semis and quarters are okay. And upsets.

But now people just posts results of matches they don't even care, and he thread will get like 3 responses.

Peak vs Peak is SO annoying. I think each current or ex-top 10 faced each other in these polls Who cares about Peak Graf vs Peak Vaidisova?

And after every surprise winner, there is 100 threads about rankings potential, GS potential, etc. Maybe one discussion about tha player is okay but 100? No.

And also the polls "Who's gonna win : Henin vs Schaul. It doesn't deserve a thread. Justine will destroys Schaul. Henin vs Serena, let's make a poll. But #1 vs #1 doesn'tworth it
